Pair with a Bluetooth Device

Get close to discover Bluetooth devices and pair them with one tap

The phone and Bluetooth devices (such as HONOR's Bluetooth earbuds) can be paired with one tap when they are close enough, which is convenient and efficient.

Before connecting please make sure the following conditions are met:

Phone:
  • The system of the phone must be Magic UI 4.0 or later.

  • Bluetooth is enabled on the phone.

Bluetooth device:
  • Supports the "Discover nearby devices" function. Whether a Bluetooth device supports the "Discover nearby devices" and can be "one-tap" paired the phone depend on its specifications.

  • Has sufficient power. The phone and the Bluetooth device are within the effective range (10m).

  • Unpaired with a previously connected phone. If you can't find the Bluetooth device after you manually canceled the connection with that device, please set the Bluetooth device to the Discoverable mode again.

  • Discoverable mode is the state in which the device can be discovered and entered by long pressing on the function button and performing other related operations. For more details, please refer to the user manual of your Bluetooth device.

How the phone can be paired with different Bluetooth devices may vary. Please consult the customer service of your Bluetooth device for details. The following is how "one-tap" pairing is achieved between the phone and the HONOR earbuds (HONOR Earbuds 3 Pro):

  1. When the phone screen is on, put the Bluetooth earbuds in the pairing mode and close to the phone.

  2. Rest the earbuds in the case, keep the lid open, and press the function button for 2 seconds. White light blinking indicates the earbuds enter the pairing mode.

  3. The phone will automatically discover it and display a prompt window. Tap CONNECT and follow the instructions to complete the pairing. If you missed the prompt window, you can go to the Bluetooth settings screen of the phone and follow the instructions to pair the devices manually.

  4. After the pairing is successful, go to the phone > Settings > Bluetooth > Paired devices , and tap the button next to the earbuds name to adjust other settings. Tap Cancel Pairing below to disconnect.

  5. Pull down the phone's notification bar and tap next to Current audio input/output device to switch the audio channel for calls or multimedia playbacks.
